This summer I saw the receding waters at Lake Mead and the Colorado River at the Hoover Dam. The mineral markings on the rocky shores of the lake and river were dramatically exposed by the present drought.

Powerlessness can be a form of ‘empty’. Personally powerless to intervene in a drought. I see the half full lakes and rivers and wish for waters to fill the voids.
